SINOPSIS:
Lebih dari sepuluh tahun yang lalu, siluman rubah berekor sembilan, dikendalikan oleh pria bertopeng miterius. Konoha diserang oleh Kyuubi hingga berada di ambang kehancuran. Hanya ada satu cara untuk melindungi Konoha : menyegel si monster rubah. Hokage keempat, Minato Namikaze dan istrinya, Kushina menyegel kyuubi ke putra mereka yang baru lahir, Naruto, mengorbankan hidup mereka demi desa, mempercayakan masa depan pada putra mereka.
Waktu berlalu, anggota-anggota dari sebuah klompok nukenin kelas S bernama Akatsuki, Pain, Konan, Itachi, Kisame, Sasori, Deidara, Hidan, Kakuzu, mereka menyerang Desa Konoha. Akan tetapi, Naruto bersama dengan teman-temannya berhasil mengalahkan mereka. Tapi kenapa para anggota Akatsuki itu, dianggap telah mati, disini lagi sekarang? Misteri muncul, tapi seluruh shinobi sibuk memuji atas keberhasilannya meneyelesaikan misi berbahaya. Namun bagaimanapun juga, Naruto, yang tidak mengetahui siapa orangtuanya, tetap merasa kesepian. Dan pada saat itu, secara tiba-tiba, lelaki bertopeng kembali ke Konoha. Genjutsu baru yang misterius dari lelaki ini kemudian menyerang Naruto dan Sakura, serta Konoha 11 lainnya.
